Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her portrayals as the protagonist in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Additionally, she is known for her films roles which include "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack has no connection to her family. McCormack's parents are a clinical psychotherapist and the owner of a local ice cream parlor. Her acting career started when she was 12 years old when she appeared in a stage production of 'Amahl & the Night Visitors, a Christmas opera. In the age of twelve, she began her acting career with an production of the holiday musical "Amahl and The Night Visitors". In the theater, the actress performed for years and her roles were later transferred to screen. McCormack is today regarded as one Hollywood's most versatile artist. In her marriage to producer and director Michael Morris, she has three children.
