She began to be interested in food and cooking after moving from suburbs of Long Island to the diverse cultural landscape that is Los Angeles. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso created in 2013 was a huge success because it was inspired by her Italian roots. Lofaso's interpretation of classic Italian food is among Los Angeles's most popular restaurants. Lofaso serves consistently delicious food at Scopa, a neighborhood favorite. Customers describe it as authentic and satisfying. Lofaso trained under the most renowned chefs and mastered their methods, yet she was not afraid to go against her gut intuitions. She worked closely with many stars and quickly rose up the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. Lofaso was able to settle in the Black Market. The partnership would allow for the freedom of expression Lofaso desired. The goal of Black Market is not to limit itself by any means. The first course could be dill chips, then shishitos peppers. Next comes the Korean wing and finally meatballs. Antonia's bold flavors are the basis of these daring combination. Lofaso teamed with Penguin to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Fast Delicious homemade Meals in 2012. This cookbook also tells about the struggles she faced as a mother of Xea and pursuing her studies in the French Culinary Institute.
